This album brings together four new works for solo jazz piano, along with a selection of my earlier jazz compositions. Together, these pieces reflect the evolution of my musical voice—rooted in jazz, shaped by improvisation, and always open to unexpected paths.
Sometimes an improvisation flows effortlessly through my hands, creating an entire new song. Thankfully, if recorded, it preserves the original improvisation. Only a few minor refinements are needed. And, sometimes it's that easy! Such is the case in the creation of the "Sometimes It’s That Easy" song.
The album also marks an exciting new direction for me through the Indo-jazz composition "First and Second Light Raga". In this improvisatory work, I venture into my own personal interpretation of the spirit of Indian raga. Rather than following its traditional form, I draw inspiration from its meditative character, gradual unfolding, and expressive freedom. Through the voice of the piano, jazz and Indian-inspired elements meet and converse, creating a musical landscape that feels both contemplative and adventurous.
